Bicycle Routes & Abilities

While most of our guided, fully-supported bicycle tours can accommodate riders of varying skill and fitness levels, you’ll have more fun if you’re riding within your abilities. Get the most enjoyment out of your vacation by selecting a tour that matches both your interests and cycling ability.

All our trips allow you to ride at your own pace, enjoy the scenery and have FUN! There are always options to ride more, and the support van is available for those who want to take a day off or cut the ride short. We offer trips for the following abilities:

Intermediate level: 40-65 miles per day

  • Appropriate for cyclists who train regularly
  • Ride from three to six hours at a comfortable pace over rolling and very hilly terrain
  • Gain up to 2,000 to 4,000 feet of elevation each day

Advanced level: 50-70 miles per day

  • Appropriate for avid cyclists who enjoy challenging climbs as much as exhilarating descents
  • Enjoy a challenging pace (for those with club riding and pace-line experience) on rolling hills and extended mountain passes
  • Ride four to seven hours each day, gaining average of 4,000 to 8,000 feet of elevation each day
